Personal Profile

Wendy Slade studied at De Montfort University, Lincoln for a degree in Conservation/Restoration and graduated in 1998.  This course encompassed the disciplines of furniture, ceramics, ethnography and gilding,  with the latter being Wendy's chosen specialism.

Further experience was gained at a gilding studio in Paris, working on traditional French gilded chairs and settees.  Returning to her home city of Norwich, Wendy has worked as a gilding conservator for the last 17 years with a client base made up of local museums, private collectors and antique dealers.
